This house was built in 1919 for Mr. and Mrs. George King in the Colonial Revival style.

This Colonel Revival style house was built for Mr. & Mrs. George King in 1919. King was manager of the Clarkston State Bank until his death in 1947. He was retained to organize the bank after the failure of the Jossman State Bank, the result of Isador/Esidore Jossman and J.C. Bird's first Clarkston Bank. Note that instead of vertical pilasters at the corners the wood clapboard siding is butted. In the 1990s a bay window was added on the south facade when the kitchen was remodeled. The house at 43 W. Washington is the reverse duplicate of this one. It was built for the King's friends Mr.& Mrs. Louis Walter.
