The house now on this site, shown above, was built in 2005, replacing the circa 1960s home shown below. Historically this property was jointly held according to the 1872 map of the village by Bloomfield, Scadding and Molbey. All three owned other property in the area. The stream which runs through the property originates at Parke Lake to the north. George Smith bought the property in property 1942/1943. In the 1930s he ran a feed store on the south west corner Main and Depot. Before that he was a stone mason. He and his wife, Adeline renovated the building for George Smith's Dairy Bar.
