Born 10/24/1825 in N.J.
Son of Aaron Beardslee of Sussex County, New Jersey. In 1832 Aaron Beardslee brought his family to Independence Township, settling in Section 13 in 1833.
Orasmus married Jane Hibler in December of 1847. Jane died in September of 1852.
Son, John age 9 according to 1860 census records.
In 1855 he married Clarissa/Clarisa.
Children: Estella Aaron, Elmer, Susie, & Willie.
According to 1860 census records, also living in the household were David Phillips a 13 year old born in Michigan ; Sarah Thompson, 57, born in N.J.; and Charles Myshoff, a 34 year old farm laborer.
Orasmus was Township Supervisor 1869 - 72.
