In 1936 C. J. remodeled Lee McFarland's restaurant, 6 N. Main, for his restaurant & ice cream parlor. A 5/20/1932 Clarkston News item says Cheeseman's will open "both stores" on Orion Rd. & "40 S. Main" ( the later address must be an error, since tax records confirm Cheeseman's ownership of Lot 37, or the N. Main Street building ). Partner with L. H. Cheeseman in Park Lake Farm. A newspaper ad listed "choice pure bred barred rock cockrels" for sale, $2.50 each. (See C. News, 10/22/1921) C. J. was the leader of the "Pig Club" in 1921.
