One of Clarkston's early businessmen/residents. He had the first iron foundry in the Village 1845. He was also a county sheriff. In 1837 it was in Davis' house that the first town meeting was held. He was then selected as the first Town Clerk serving 1838 - 1842. He served as Justice of the Peace 1843 & 1848.
