Wife, Mary. Born 1817. Died 4/28/1895. (Mary married John W. Howe 3/06/1866.) Derrick platted an addition to the Village in 1858. He is also credited with being one of the first to bring Durham & Devon cattle to the area. See Heritage, page 9.
