This property was part of the holdings of early Clarkston settler Nelson Abby, physician. By 1860, William Malby/Molbey owned the lot, the lot north of it, three lots across Buffalo (on the east side) and a piece further to the east which fronted on Sashabaw St., now Waldon. This property apparently remained vacant until the house seen on the lot now was built after 1952.
