The original section of this house, which was built circa 1880 as a vernacular farmhouse, has seen many changes since then. Shingle siding was applied over the original wood clapboard, the front porch was enclosed, the widows were changed and an attached garage was constructed. The interior was also altered when past owners also owned Bob's Hardware in Clarkston.
