Daniel purchased a small building from Washington Clark Scranton in 1895. The building was a "store" which stood on the northwest corner of W. Washington & N. Holcomb. Daniel moved it to the site of 2 S. Main. Daniel, and then his son, "Roy" operated a soda shop/candy store on that site.
