West side of street

Like its neighbor to the north, this house dates from the turn of the century. The owner at the time was Rome (Jerome) Demund/DeMund/Demond/DeMond. The property in 1872 was owned by Nelson Abbey, a doctor, who also owned the two lots to the north. Abbey had owned the properties since 1848 according to tax records. There were no building footprints shown on the 1872 Map on any of those three lots. The simple vernalcular farmhouse style of this small building has the appearance of a saltbox style house.
